A BRIEF INTRO
I’m Billy Nightingale, a web designer and developer based in Capbreton, which is part of the Landes region in France. I help small local businesses create modern, high-performing websites that are fast, search-engine friendly, and designed to support real business growth.
With a background in mechanical engineering and a strong focus on problem solving, I combine technical development with thoughtful design to build websites that are both functional and visually engaging. My work ranges from WordPress websites for local businesses to custom web applications and digital tools designed to simplify operations and improve online presence.

WHAT I DO
I build websites, systems and applications
WEBSITE DESIGN
Designing websites for small to medium size businesses, with the use of cutting edge technology like Figma and relume AI to provide the highest quality design
Creating assets like SVGs, icons and editing images with Affinity and Adobe to enhance the visual experience
THE PROCESS
Depending on the project I have a four phase approach, discovery, design and develop
PHASE 1
Discovery
In the discovery phase I have a discussion with my client and study their requirements and issues, I create mood boards and we discuss design options and available solutions to their issues. This includes research into competitors and design direction.
PHASE 2
Design
In the design phase, I present a style guide with a selection of fonts pairs and a colour palette with low-fidelity wireframes, once approved we move to high-fidelity wireframes.
PHASE 3
Development
In the development phase, I begin developing the project and optimising it for production, this includes building out a fully customised system using reusable components and optimising images and fonts for web performance, creating a custom layout system with equal and fluid spacing. All of my designs are crafted to be fully responsive and fluid, they're optimised for all major devices.
PHASE 4
Deployement
The deployment phase is the stage I connect the domain and insure the site is secure with SSL, then launch the site and begin to optimise the SEO and insure stability via test using various tools like Google Search Console and Ahrefs auditing, I run Lighthouse performance tests to ensure page speed and accessibility are optimum.

I’m located in the beautiful town of Capbreton, which is part of the Landes region in France. Primarily, I work with local clients like restaurants, healthcare providers, beverage produces and local businesses. But I am of course available for remote work.

MY INTERESTS
When I’m not working on client projects, I’m usually programming and building tools or applications.
In my leisure time I’m very social and active, my favourite sports are snowboarding and surfing, I’ve travelled all over the world practicing these sports.
I'm also a qualified personal trainer and a snowboard instructor.
